Arrive at Kajjansi airstrip at 6am for an early breakfast before taking to the skies at first light to make the 1hr 30min flight and touch down in the heart of Murchison Falls NP. With an expert ranger seek out elephants, leopards, lions, warthogs, giraffes and large game herds including buffalos and Uganda kobs. The early morning will provide excellent photo opportunities and usually plenty of animal activity before the heat of the day sets in. You will explore game circuits before making your way down to the banks of the River Nile, right in the secluded delta.

You’ll take a scenic water transfer to Bakers Lodge where you will collect a picnic lunch to cruise to the magnificent falls themselves. You will meander upstream passing various game species cooling off from the heat of the day, giant Nile crocodiles, hippo pods, and a plethora of birdlife inhabiting the riverbanks. On reaching the waterfalls, disembark from the boat and you’ll be guided up the trail to the top of the falls, a 45min hike. Here you can marvel at the splash and rainbows of the Nile crashing through a seven-metre gap in the rock face before being driven back downstream to Bugungu airstrip to make the return flight to Kajjansi airstrip, arriving by dusk.
