Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is Uganda’s smallest national park, but it’s certainly the greenest with it lush rainforest covering volcano slopes. The home of the unusual golden monkey and a small proportion of Uganda’s rare mountain gorillas both of which can be tracked here. It’s most popular for hiking the northern slopes of the Virunga volcanoes, including summiting Mount Sabyinyo where you can stand simultaneously in Uganda, Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
